Missing someone can drive you crazy.

Wanting to see someone is a feeling that’s not so easy to cease, wouldn’t you agree? It’s almost safe to say that it already happened once or maybe many times in someone’s life.

In fact, it can be happening right now to a lot of people. Especially now that most of us are on home quarantine or socially isolated because of the pandemic.

It’s not the healthiest emotion if I may say. It can stress someone out, or worse, it can make someone anxious. Sadly, missing someone is inevitable, it happens to all of us. And when we say “all”, it means even different species.

Even to animals?

Yes, you read that last line right, even to animals.

We should never exempt animals from having feelings or emotions. They are living creatures too and like us, humans, they can also show happiness, sorrow, anger, empathy, and many more.

According to Carl Safina, an award-winning environmental writer:

“Watching animals my whole life I’ve always been struck by how similar to us they are. I’ve always been touched by their bonds and been impressed—occasionally frightened—by their emotions.”

He also added:

“Life is very vivid to animals. In many cases they know who they are. They know who their friends are and who their rivals are. They have ambitions for higher status. They compete. Their lives follow the arc of a career, like ours do.”

“We both try to stay alive, get food and shelter, and raise some young for the next generation. Animals are no different from us in that regard and I think that their presence here on Earth is tremendously enriching.” (Source: National Geographic website)

If you are still in doubt about animals having emotions, this video might just prove it.

A feel-good video clip was posted by 1010 Wins on their YouTube channel. It shows a baby chimpanzee reuniting with his foster parents and his reaction is priceless!

The baby chimp, Limbani, can’t seem to control his emotions as he sees his human dad once again. He is screaming uncontrollably as he waits on a tabletop.

When his foster dad, Jeorge, gets close enough to the overjoyed baby chimpanzee, Limbani leaps onto dad’s arms and the two give each other a warm hug.

Limbani’s body language and facial expression say it all.

Just look at how happy he is! I’ve never seen a chimpanzee smile that wide, he is smiling from ear to ear. Though it isn’t clear how long the two have been apart, it still obviously shows how they missed each other.

That’s one tight hug and it almost feels like they’re not going to let go. Not until the happy baby chimp sees his foster mom, Tania. It’s one sweet reunion and Limbani’s reaction clearly reflects how loving his foster parents are to him.

Turns out, Jeorge and Tania are the only parents Limbani has ever had.

The poor chimp was rejected by his biological mom after he was born with pneumonia. It’s the saddest thing that can ever happen to a baby chimpanzee or to any newborn, may it be a human or an animal.

Luckily, Jeorge and Tania were there to give Limbani all the love that he deserves in life. They’ve selflessly given themselves to the baby chimp so they wouldn’t feel alone in this cruel world.

Limbani was taken to the Zoological Wildlife Foundation in Florida but his foster parents still make it a habit to visit him often. The relationship that they’re able to create is something really precious and will never be forgotten by any of them.

Watch the clip below to see how overjoyed Limbani is to be reunited again with his foster parents.
